Senior Program Officer for Inclusive Financial Systems at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Nearly 15 years at the intersection of fintech, financial inclusion, and emerging markets.
Amrita has spent nearly 15 years working in inclusive finance — from founding a microfinance non-profit in college to her current role as Senior Program Officer, Inclusive Financial Systems at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she focuses on advancing women's financial inclusion and alternative data at scale.
Her career spans management consulting, the U.S. Treasury Department, and directing the first-ever US-based regtech TechSprint with the Alliance for Innovative Regulation. She has worked at global fintechs including Blender (Israel), Cignifi (U.S. and Latin America), Grab Financial (Southeast Asia), and wagely (Indonesia & Bangladesh), and has spoken at the Singapore Fintech Festival and Center for Financial Inclusion.
Amrita is co-founder of Findicate, an angel syndicate backing women-led startups across Asia, and invests independently in fintech and adjacent startups globally.
The Green Room | Fintech Journeys in Asia — Amrita goes behind the scenes with fintech CEOs, founders, and thought leaders across Asia to explore their career journeys and industry insights.
Amrita invests at the intersection of fintech, financial inclusion, and emerging markets — independently and as co-founder of Findicate, a women-focused angel syndicate backing early-stage women-led startups across Asia.
Women-led startups receive just 3% of global VC — yet deliver returns 2.5x higher than the broader market. Findicate exists to close that gap, one deal at a time.
Her independent portfolio spans credit infrastructure, open finance, fertility, and emerging market funds — backing category-defining companies across the US, Southeast Asia, and globally.
Amrita invests independently across fintech and financial inclusion globally.
